WelFur
WelFur is the European fur animal welfare assessment program for mink, fox and Finnraccoon (Asiatic raccoon). WelFur protocol is included in the Finnish Standards fur farm certification.
TÄLTÄ SIVULTA LÖYDÄT:
WelFur has been designed by independent scientists at seven European universities. It concentrates on the four principles of animal welfare as stated in the European Commission's Welfare Quality project:
- good housing
- good feed
- good health, and
- appropriate behaviour.
From 2020, auction houses will offer only WelFur certified skins.
